Marcel Wanders is behind a new collection for Bisazzo Bagno – a fusion of sleek minimalism and rococo ornament. The collection includes glossy oblong sinks and tubs, mirrors both simple and baroque, boxy cabinetry, and even a showerhead disguised as a chandelier.

Blu Dot

The Scamp Table – a wire table with a glass or marble top – debuts at this year’s ICFF. But Blu Dot is bringing back a classic as well: the Real Good chair (made famous by the ) was first produced in a stunning limited-edition copper version for ICFF 2009, and now returns for 2012.

Matthew Hilton presents new sizes for existing storage pieces, but the collection’s standout is a new product for 2012, the Horizon Coffee Table. An open-ended volume enclosed in solid wood provides ample storage atop four turned brass legs, while a series of slots admit light and add visual interest.

Jonathan Adler’s collection for 2012 has a decidedly Mediterranean flavour, with accessories referencing nautical motifs and colours drawn from an Aegean palette. Even furniture gets in on the game, like this retro-ready Okura kidney table, whose top boasts 12 luscious coats of orange laquer.

Outside the Javits Center, Herman Miller will introduce its new collection in a 560 square-metre pop-up space designed by . Located at 68 Wooster in the heart of SoHo, the shop will be open May 9 through July 1, with a collection that includes new fits and finishes and an expansion of Eames Aluminum Group Outdoor.

Danish or Don’t

7. Danish or Don’t

’s NoHo showroom at 2 Bond St. hosts Danish or Don’t, featuring the Copenhagen supergroup , whose ranks include Lars Larsen, Bjarke Ingels and Jens Martin Skibsted. Expect a broad range of designs spanning accessories, cycles, and furniture – like the Ingels-designed Brick sofa, whose stacked cushions were inspired by masonry.

Nouvelle Vague

Located in Chelsea’s Terminal Building, brings together a diverse group of brands and indie designers from Ligne Roset and Design Within Reach to Joe Doucet and David Trubridge. A highlight at this year’s show is Nouvelle Vague, an exhibit-within-an-exhibit of Parisian firms including ’s Hypertrophy Chair and Siamese Coffee Table – subtly anthropomorphised pieces whose magazine-rack arm and additional table top add to both character and function.
