DHM is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to create compelling and successful responses to Requests For Proposals (RFPs). This includes developing and maintaining written responses, ensuring that responses are engaging and appropriate for each project, managing proposal schedules and deadlines, as well as ensuring final review and submissions. The ideal candidate will have some hands-on experience in developing and generating proposal/qualification submissions for Engineering/Architectural/Construction firms. Candidate shall possess writing, proofreading, and editing skills along with excellent time management and organizational abilities. Candidate shall have proficient knowledge of Adobe InDesign, MS Office Suite and excellent personal and communication skills.


  • Organize, assign and manage RFP responses specific to the outlined requirements
  • Contribute to creation/writing/editing of RFP responses
  • Use Adobe InDesign for RFP response document layout; take initiative to apply graphics and layout for an engaging design while maintaining brand conventions
  • Facilitate proposal review, ensure edits are incorporated and manage final proposal submissions with high attention to detail
  • Engage in other marketing communication projects as time permits: interview prep, website content, award submissions, scheduling photography, press releases, social media, and event coordination


  • 2-5 years of RFP response experience preferably in the design, construction or engineering industry
  • High proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Photoshop applications specifically) and Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to be highly creative yet regimented to ensure completeness and accuracy of all RFPs
  • Works well with highly structured timelines and deadlines
  • Deliver results that are clear, accurate, technically correct and achieve messaging objectives
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment under pressure
  • Strong listening skills and overall communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capacity to be responsible, flexible, accountable and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, adapt and prioritize to meet multiple concurrent deadlines
  • Professionally communicate with all levels of personnel within the organization and with external clients and partners
  • Coordinate with team members (subconsultants and internal) to obtain needed information
  • Prepare company profiles, project descriptions and employee resumes
  • Proofread proposal documents for grammar, readability, and completeness
