Inspired by hygge – the Danish concept of getting cozy – ’s indoor/outdoor lantern brings a warm candlelight glow to any setting. Its opal glass sphere can be cradled by the powder-coated steel frame, or it can be removed and carried about on its own. Recharged by a USB cable and adapter, the light lasts up to five hours.

Empatia Mobile by
Expanding on the existing series that explores a relationship between traditional glass-blowing techniques and LED technology, this version of Empatia is a cord-free one that brings flexibility to the modern design. Launched at Euroluce in April, its USB charging port is discretely tucked into its aluminum base.

Cestita Batería by
The latest addition to the classic Cestita family (originally designed by Miguel Milá in 1962) is this petite, rechargeable and portable version. Though freed from wires and now able to roam, the indoor light still features its familiar bent-wood frame and opal-shaped glass shade.

Nox by
Taking its name from the Latin word for night, this shapely indoor lamp is reminiscent of traditional paper lanterns but has been rendered with an anodized aluminum body. Once removed from its charging base, it provides up to 15 hours of illumination, with a touch dimmer allowing for different light levels.

Balad by
Known for its cheery outdoor furniture, the French brand’s foray into lighting is now available with seven handle colours. Supremely lightweight, the table lamp can also be suspended from two styles of stand – standard and offset – and can be set to emit either a cool white or a warm white light. Depending on the intensity of the setting, its rechargeable battery will last up to 28 hours.
